What Did we Think? Our Review

Getting a new barbecue is always exciting for us ( we're cooking nerds!) and we were keen to get this set up. It comes in a neat sturdy box, which keeps the various parts secure and safe from damage whilst in transit.

Putting it together was straightforward, using the supplied assembly instrunctions - we didn't need any tools except a screwdriver for attaching the handle to the lid. You need to supply your own gas regulator and hose for attaching to your gas bottle - it will run off either Butane or Propane gas.

Once built it was extremely sturdy standing on it's legs, one of which has an adjustable foot on the bottom to ensure it's very easy to get it perfectly level.

The manual recommends (but not essential) to 'season' the cooking surface before use, this is very easy to do and you just lightly rub cooking oil on the surface and then place over medium heat for 2 - 3 minutes. When it cools, wash the cooking surface with soapy water before use and grease it lightly with some cooking oil.

You won't need matches to light it , as it has an automatic ignition, and the main control knob on the front sets the level of gas, and the size and intensity of the flame. There is a built in thermometer on the lid, which makes it easy to get your cooking temperature right, and to avoid burning your grub!

It comes with a ceramic BBQ Grid which will cover most of your cooking needs, and it's shape and pattern means you can get lovely sear marks on griddled veggies and steaks. There are also a variety of optional cooking surfaces such as a paella pan, pizza stone, chef pan etc. meaning you can grill, fry, boil and more. This means it really does cook almost everything and you can easily cater for small groups or 10+ people - this really is one versatile bbq. We also liked that the lid is removable so you can attach to the side to create a windshield should it be a bit blowy on your campsite (or garden).

We love that the ceramic coating on the BBQ grid is completely PFOA-free; which means it contains no toxic substances, and means healthier cooking. We have cooked lots of food on it, just ensure you wash everything between uses to prevent any fat build up and to protect the BBQ.

Any excess or melted fat and oil collects on the fat pan below the cooking surface, which helps prevents flare ups - the fat pan can be lifted out and makes it easy to clean!

When you've finished using it, it's simple to pack away, the legs can be easily removed, and it comes with its own storage bag keeping it safe and neatly packed when not in use.

Overall if you looking for an outdoor portable gas bbq ideal for camping, caravanning and use at home, this could be the perfect option for you - it is easy to set up, fires up very easily with the automatic piezo ignition, and with the simple controls and temperature the cooking results are excellent!
