BP Gas Light - The Lightweight Gas Bottle
|
Are you fed up with lugging the heavy steel gas bottles about?
Or are simply
unable to lift and move them as easily as you would like?
Worried about
nose weight on your caravan? Want a change from Camping Gas or Calor Gas
bottles? Then BP Gas Light could well be the answer to
the problems. |
|
|
Using BP Gas Light for caravans or motorhomes - weight is crucial so the
cylinders are half the weight of the steel equivalent. You can also see
the gas level and so plan ahead on the move.
There are three important things to know when you are considering
using BP Gas Light with your caravan or motorhome.
1. Which BP Gas Light size will fit in my caravan? Different makes
and models of caravan and motorhome fit different sizes of BP Gas Light.
BP Gas Light is available throughout the UK in the 10kg size. The 5kg
size BP Gas Light is currently only available through some Truma
stockists. To find out more, use our Bottle Finder tool or call our
customer services team.
Please check your manual or contact your manufacturer to find out which
size will fit your caravan or motorhome.

2. How do I secure the cylinder in my cylinder compartment? Some
cylinder compartments have mouldings or brackets on the floor of the
compartment that are designed to fit steel cylinders. You can buy a
plastic bracket to fit in your cylinder compartment which will hold both
BP Gas Light and steel cylinders safely and securely in place.
3. How do I connect the cylinder to my caravan? BP Gas Light is fitted
with a 27mm clip-on valve. This is much safer than traditional screw fit
valves because you instantly know when you have fastened the connector
securely rather than messing about with a spanner. However, many makes
and models of caravan and motorhome are not fitted to take 27mm clip-on
valves. A simple adapter kit is available through most Truma dealers.

This perfect partnership sees the lightweight, 5kg
and 10kg translucent gas bottles, save approximately 50% of weight
compared to that of the traditional steel cylinders when empty, giving
caravan users the advantage of lower fuel consumption for vehicle towing
or space for luxury.
The benefits of the BP Gas Light are huge, ranging from its
semi-transparent appearance which enables you to view the level of gas
inside the cylinder ensuring no more wastage of gas, to being
approximately half the weight of its steel competition when empty. The
BP Gas Light is easily manoeuvrable with an ultra solid handle to ensure
an easy grip while offering total protection to the valve. The BP Gas
Light is made of high performance corrosion-proof fibreglass-reinforced
material and passes all European safety standards. The BP Gas Light
bottle is also far more aesthetically pleasing to the eye than that of
the traditional steel cylinders!
