AeroBed Active Review
|
There is now a brand new luxury sleeping solution that is the perfect way to
add extreme comfort to any camping trip or outdoors getaway.
The AeroBed Active is a luxury air-filled bed that self-inflates in around 60 seconds using a powerful rechargeable, detachable pump and deflates in under 15 seconds.
With a smart charger to charge the pump so it can operate cordlessly and a 12
volt outdoor lead to run the pump from cars and campervans, the Active
provides you with flexibility, convenience and reliability on holiday or at
home.
Taking comfort one step further, the bed also features coil construction and a
built-in pillow for superior stability and support, whilst the plush, velvety
sleep surface provides extra softness and comfort, guaranteeing you a great
night’s sleep under the stars.
The mattress itself is made from heavy duty, puncture-resistant vinyl for
durability but is both lightweight and easy to store and transport when it’s
time to move on thanks to the handy duffle bag included.
It can also be used at home for when those unexpected guests arrive.
An AeroBed will not let you down...
All AeroBed's have an electric pump as an integral part of their construction.
This pump rapidly inflates your bed at the touch of a button and is designed so
that air only travels in one way - into the bed. The only way for air to leave
is at the other end of the bed via the unique patented quick release deflation
valve. It is made of heavy duty plastic and is designed to withstand excessive
pressure ensuring that the bed remains fully inflated until it is time to pack
it away.
As a double-check they inflate every single AeroBed and leave it to stand for 24
hours before deflating it and packaging it up. This is why, unlike many other
air beds, an AeroBed will not leak during the night and leave you or your
guests waking up on the floor the next morning.
Real comfort and correct spinal alignment...
Each AeroBed is manufactured using Quadra Coil technology which creates
individual pockets of air evenly distributed for all-night comfort. They make
the bed feel solid and prevent air moving from one side of the bed to the other
when you lay down on it. All AeroBed come with a One Touch comfort control
feature that enables you to adjust the firmness of your AeroBed at the touch of
a button enabling correct spinal alignment and a healthy night's sleep.
Built to last for years...
The AeroBed is made of durable, heavy-duty vinyl with electronically-welded
seams to withstand well over 275kgs of weight. As part of their quality control
process they randomly select beds to be put through the most rigorous tests which
involve simulating 52 years of daily use.

What did we think? Our Review of the AeroBed
The AeroBed arrived a couple of days after
we ordered. I was advised it would take a couple of days due to the amazing fact
they charge the pump and test the bed prior to dispatch, so upon
receiving it I was ready to go and inflate the bed without any waiting
around for the unit to charge.
The AeroBed comes packaged neatly and the contents of the bag
consisted of the AeroBed, the pump, European and standard 3-pin plugs, a 12 volt adapter and a carry bag for it all.
We plugged in the pump, and inflated it and had a quick lie down. The bed was up
in around one-minute and ready to be tested. The bed has a clever automatic function which prevents it from being overinflated, the pump will stop once it is fully up. The mattress has a fleece covering, this not only adds to the comfort, but stops you lying on cold
material as you would on most normal airbeds
A very comfortable night was spent asleep on the AeroBed, with no deflating, or sagging. In the morning we simply released the air valve to deflate it - the AeroBed was flat and rolled up and put in the storage bag, in around 20 seconds. The bag is a generous size, meaning that we were easily able to get the
AeroBed in it along with the pump and power lead. Unlike some airbeds which are very heavy and cumbersome, the AeroBed was easy to handle and easy to fold up to a nice and compact size.
Overall, this is a quality mattress suitable for both home and
especially great for camping in the great outdoor. Yes it will
cost you more than a bog standard airbed from a retailer, but this
really is worth the extra investment. The bed has a feeling of real quality about it, and you feel confident it will last for years. We were also impressed with the fact it came with all the accessories required, including the different plug adapters, and the 12v adapter for inflating whilst out and about.
