The organisers have put together all the elements of what
would make a great VW Festival and come up with the perfect location –
Druridge Bay Country Park near Morpeth in Northumberland.
The park has miles of golden beach and is renowned for attracting
the surfing, kiting and land yachting fraternity as well as having it’s own
fresh water lake where there are opportunities for sailing and canoeing.
Lots of scenic walks available if you wish to bring the dog!
A VW show of some of the best examples of modern to the rare classics, see
surf buses right at home by the sea.
If you are coming just for the day or wish to join in with the spirit of
festival camping, so much has been packed in to one weekend, something for
the whole family. As well as the range of VW’s to see there will be free
kids workshops from Graffiti to Rock School, kid’s disco, live music
throughout the day until late.
Also Auto-jumble, variety of car and craft trade stands, various outside
catering units including an all vegetarian unit or bring your own picnics or
BBQ’s to enjoy in the beautiful park grounds or on the beach. There is also
a small on-site tea room at the information centre, with indoor toilets also
available.
Can I stay at the show?
Prices kept at last year’s rate Camping is available on the paddocks which makes a fantastic area for
family camping, but please note first come first served with families having
priority.
Campers will be able to use the toilets.
There is also the large area which will make a great site for club gatherings with lots of space.
Weekend pass includes all evening entertainment and parking.
