Tripbuddy Limited has redefined touring homes. The design of Tripbuddy
represents years of development and refinement; the one piece composite
body, the ergonomic details, the aerodynamics and the whole vehicle dynamics
have been developed using software and engineers who, previously, have
shaped the Automotive and Aerospace industries of the twenty-first century.
The latest Computer Aided technologies in design and engineering have been
used to bring a totally new concept to the market.
Their range is based on their highly developed chassis-body concept and each
Tripbuddy is built to your specification. |
|
The body has been designed as a one piece, monocoque moulding which removes
potential leak paths as there are no external joints; the glazing is
produced by a company more accustomed to producing glazing systems for
racing cars and aeroplanes.
Unlike traditional caravans the glazing units are set flush into the body
and incorporate a triple seals system, more often found on luxury cars,
designed to reduce drag and improve sealing even in extreme weather
conditions. The chassis/floor system is designed as an integral component to the body
and is mechanically fixed and bonded to the body to form a monocoque, giving
high torsional rigidity and dramatically increasing Tripbuddy’s stability.
This integrated monocoque design gives Tripbuddy a lower access height from
the ground.
The one piece rear opening door is supplied with a manual or automatic (12v
electro-hydraulic) opening method.
The stylish exterior roof rails are also designed to be load bearing and can
be fitted with roof boxes and additional equipment carriers as required.
The awning, which is stowed inside the rear door, is deployed in seconds to
expand the fixed part of Tripbuddy. Each of the 3 exterior faces of this
awning can accommodate extra features such as pup tents and a kit pit.
The inside of Tripbuddy is inspired by luxury yachts; practical, strong and
designed for all the knocks and rigor it will inevitably receive. Seats and
headliner are leather trimmed whilst the floor is genuine teak planking,
normally used in yacht decking. Tripbuddy incorporates a state of the art,
audio visual system that will provide the rhythm and beat to your
well-earned down-time. Finally, all the internal lighting is LED, a rainbow
of mood inspiring colours are available at the touch of the remote control.ist occupants. We can even fit a bed hoist
if required. We can run all the extra systems on our LVHP2 (low voltage
hydraulic power pack) system. |
General Specifications
There are currently 3 weight classes available for Tripbuddy:-
Light 1300kg
Family 1650kg
Max 2200kg
All Tripbuddy’s are designed to transport a payload which can be as much as
900kg depending on your chosen specification.
Disabled Users
For all those with mobility issues Tripbuddy has the answer. The access
to Tripbuddy is highly innovative; gone are the days of the traditional
caravan side door access – so restrictive to those with limited mobility and
impossible for wheelchair access. Tripbuddy provides access via a cavernous
rear clam-shell style door system which opens up like a monster hatchback on
either gas operated struts or at the push of a button on the higher-end
models. The door, once opened, forms the rigid roof of the inbuilt awning
which deploys easily from within the underside of the door, dropping down in
an instant.
The floor height to ground on Tripbuddy is lower than traditional caravans.
A series of access ramps and platforms have been designed to assist access
in and out. These can deploy by a manual system or be automatic in function
(hydraulic). The strength of the vehicle structure allows us to position
grab and handrails to further assist occupants. We can even fit a bed hoist
if required. We can run all the extra systems on our LVHP2 (low voltage
hydraulic power pack) system.
These are some of the options available
- Automatic rear opening door
- Automatic vehicle positioning
- Automatic access ramp
- Automatic deploy step
- Internal handrails
- Internal winches and supports
- Low level units
