The Original Sleepy from SLPY is the first wearable sleeping bag, and looks great and keeps you warm. It incorporates zips for your arms, a full length two way zip to make it easy to get in and out of and a clever system enabling the user to unzip the bottom of the bag, bring it up to the waist and wear it like a long coat.
The Original Sleepy is available in six colours and gives the cool camper something that is warm enough to sleep in on the coldest nights but also the flexibility to wear around a campsite either at breakfast or around the campfire before bed.
They come in Large, Medium and kids sizes, so if you are aged 6, or 6ft 6 tall then there is a Sleepy for you.
Designed in the UK and manufactured to the same high specification as more traditional outdoor brands The Original Sleepy uses the latest branded fabrics and zips to ensure your love affair with your Sleepy is a long lasting one. Despite its urban look it doesn't compromise as a technical product that is also suitable for mountain wear as a high spec sleeping bag jacket.
The Original Sleepy uses YKK Zips, Thermolite Extreme filling and a soft
touch pongee outer. It has two zip chest pockets to keep your valuables safe
and two hand warming slouch waist pockets. The Sleepy is a 3 season sleeping
bag and has an extreme limit of a -15 degrees.
The Sleepy comes into its own when chilling out around the campfire before
bed time, whilst nature calls in the night and when waking up in the morning
and not wanted to leave to warmth of your bag! Its also perfect for when
exploring round camp, going to the toilet block or heading to the local camp
shop for some milk and bread. |

Features and Specifications
- Temperature: Comfort: 5 degrees, Limit: -5 degrees, Extreme: -15
degrees
- Fit: Medium up to 5Ft 11 inches tall, Large up to 6Ft 6 inches tall.
For those wanting more room or are a larger build then choose the Large
even if you are a medium fit in terms of height.
- The Sleepy comes with a colour coded compression sack: Medium is
34cm long x 20cm diameter, Large is 39cm long x 22cm diameter
- Outer Fabric: Soft feel, brushed 300T diamond pressed polyester.
- Inner Liner: Soft feel, brushed 300T polyester.
- Filling: 200g per m2 Thermolite Extreme.
- Zips: YKK Zips large tooth zips.
- Zip Pulls: Branded SLPY leather zip pulls.
- Toggles: Branded SLPY leather toggles.
- Pockets: 2 x secure chest pockets, 2 x snuggy waist pockets.
- Clever system enables legs to pop out the bottom of the
bag and to bring to the waist to walk around in.
- Baffle Strip: Branded SLPY anti snag baffle strip down centre zip
and bottom zip.
- Media Eyelet: Internal media eyelet from left hand chest pocket.
What did we think?
We were sent a Sleepy to test and were very impressed with the style,
quality and overall feel of the bag. We did find that unlike other sleeping
bags this has an unusual design. The front of the sleeping bag has a look of
a zip up hoodie. The zip for the sleeping bag is down the front not round
the edge, but this did not pose any problems. There are also 2 side zips to
allow you to put your arms through so you can still read in bed, however it
is not that easy to re-do the arm zips up from inside without having to undo
the front zip. The front also has 2 pockets for storing your torch, phone,
etc. At the bottom of the sleeping bag there is a further zip which allows
you to have your feet out. There is also a pull cord at the bottom to pull
it in nice and tight. The size we were sent was a medium and we suggest that
if you are any taller than 5 ft 6 then a large would be better as our tester
is 5 ft 5 and there wasn’t that much room at the end of the bag.
