Shackerstone Family Festival is situated close to the Leicestershire,
Warwickshire border. It offers two days of events on the first weekend (1st
and 2nd) of September.
On the first weekend of September each year the small, sleepy
Leicestershire village of Shackerstone springs to life with the sights and
sounds of the Family Festival. 2018 will see the 24th year this gem of an
event takes place.
It attracts over 15,000 to a unique event that includes arena entertainment,
vintage cars, canal boats, planes, railways and much more besides!
The not for profit organisation has run since 1995 and has helped raise
over £700,000 for good causes, both national and local.
Camp at the Show in your Tent, Caravan or Motorhome
Camping can be from Thursday 30th August from 10:00.
Your pitch available from Thursday to Sunday (Monday by request)
Free entry to both days of the Festival upon display of wristbands
(see application allowance). Additional discounted weekend tickets at
time of booking
Access to Friday night Entertainment by the Land Girls with
nostalgic sounds of the 40s and 50s,in the Real Ale & Cider Marquee and
Refreshment area (not open to the public)
Access to Saturday nights Entertainment the ‘King of Diamonds’
tribute act featuring Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley in the Real Ale &
Cider Marquee and Refreshment area (not open to the public)
Site security in operation from Friday 09am to Sunday 6pm

Facilities for campers include
Level grassed field with running water, Elson tank and toilets including
disabled. NO showers or power connections. There is Security on site from
Friday evening until close on Sunday. Catering on site all weekend.
Entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings for campers and those taking
part in the festival (not open to the general public).
The
booking forms with the discounts shown for members are now available to
be downloaded and you can view and print them here. Print it out, fill it
in, and send it off (don't forget to include a SAE) to the address on pages four and five of the form.

There are a few new tasters for 2018 and some are listed below:-
• All children will not have to pay an admission fee when attending the 2018 Festival with an adult
• A Land Train is to be made available as an attraction for the public to use free of charge to travel between central locations in each field.
• Attending highlights of this year’s Festival will be the Portsmouth Field Gun Display Team, the ‘Age of the Jacobite’s’ an Equine stunt act featuring Bonny Prince Charlie and The RAF Falcon Parachute Display Team (Saturday only). For an up to date list see www.shackerstonefestival.co.uk.
• There will be an Artisan Local Food and Produce Fayre together with a Rural and Countryside Craft Demonstration Area. Returning after its huge success last year will be the Fun Dog Show.
