Well I think I have picked up a bargain, with it being my first Folding Camper I really dont have a clue, but I am sure you will let me know. I have bought a 1995 Conway Cruiser. it has had 1 owner for the last 10 years, (so effectively from new) its in excellent condition, always aired never put away wet, complete with awning. I have paid £1750. so what do you think...... please dont depress me... Regards to all.

Well Highbridge have a 1996 one for sale at £3295 and doesn't sound like it can be in much better nick than yours. Seems a good price to me especially if the awning is included. Have fun in it when spring arrives not quite camping weather here .

Sounds like a bargain to me. I too have seen them for a similar price to Jan P. We bought our 1997 Cruiser with awning and toilet and bedroom extensions in 2002 for £3800, we didn't need the toilet and bedroom extensions so sold them for £200. We have had a sun canopy made for it, which we find of much more use.

Have fun when the better weather arrives.

Jo

Thats a good price, look at this link, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14256&item=4504645365&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW, the price has gone sky high, no awning.  They're are about £600.00 alone.

Yeah a definite Steal. If it is as good as you say. My son purchased a similar, and was quite chuffed at £2750. So you did well.

In effect I had already bought it on the information that the seller had given me, I told him if it was as good as he said that I would definitely have it. I travelled 220 miles with my cash in my pocket, to pick up my Excellent Condition Cruiser, only to find when I got there that there were holess apperaing just up and to the left of the main door, a hoile in the window where a firework rocket had gone through and been patched up, and bodyfiller to the left hand side of the maind door frame, the outside had not really been looked after, and there was wet canvas on one corner of the tent...... Yes I know, I wont be the first and I wont be the last.... FOOL comes to mind. In future I will not take a persons word when they say its in excellent condition, my trouble is I am too trusting. well with egg in my face I drove the 230 miles home. my wife just said "class it as a day out, at least we had a pub dinner" what a wonderful woman. I now bow out gracefully.. Best Wishes to all.

What a bummer. Still keep hunting, your ideal unit will be out there somewhere.

Thank Caz. I will carry on looking, I will probably be better off looking after christmas as at this time of the year everybody is focused on christmas and the bustle of christmas shopping, I will never know why they have christmas at the time of the year when all the shops are busy.... (humour is wonderful) hope you have a wonderful christmas everybody.

Julie & Mo. Hi, thanks for the offer but I am looking for something a bit younger, If my wife gets her way (and I am weakening) I think it may be a bank loan and a new unit.(arrrrrghh, repayments) will have to see just how resiliant I can be. Hope you have a great christmas.
