well got to scarborough on friday dinner, get camper set up and started with the awning for the 1st time..when we got to the point of hanging the roof pol/es from  the fc i noticed the pole over one of the bedrooms was the wrong way round (ie the hole for the awning was the wrong side of the camper! after looking and looking i decided to obtain  a drill from the c&cc site office (very helpful). so i managed to drill a hole in the correct position, we then unpacked the awning and notice the zips were different colours,we got the zip part way but found it very very tough going! and i managed to snap the zip tab in half, managing eventually to get the zip half way.we then noticed the zip on the fc was in 2 halfs (a gap in the middle) and only 1 zip on the awning and on further inspection discovered the awning had a "conway" label on it! and then we gave up and the zip got stuck and while trying to remove it the zip was damaged the awning side..

my question is will it be possible feasable to have the correct zip put on the awning if it will even fit? or will i be better just giving up with the awning completly?

anyone have any suugestions please?

thanks for reading martin

Tent valeting services will change the zip for you. Sounds to me like for some reason your canvas has been removed at one point and the pole put back in the wrong way.(easy done)

I would measure it and see. Just by holding the canvas in place and working my way across. Our sun canopy (see profile) is a conway made to fit by TVS.

hi Mart, i had the same problem (hole in the wrong place)and i found out that the owner used to pull off the canvas and store in his attic ,he put the poles on the wrong way round, cos the hole we were looking for the awning was on the other side of the cabin

I think we found a courier that did it for £15 each way. A new awning is £800. Are you sending the awning the canvas or both? We sent our main canvas back.

We only paid one way. Highbridge had it delivered back to them with a load of pathfinders and put it back on. I think you need to be sure the pullman zip is the original, no good having the awning one altered if it still doesn't match. We have a pennine zip  on the conway canopy.
