As it is still wet,you will need to open it up as soon as you can,and keep airing it until you finally get a nice day to dry it. Moisture traps don't work,yes they trap a bit of moisture ,but from the air and it is quickly replaced. The average trap can only lower the humidity to 75% anyway,still to damp to allow canvas to dry. Have to disagree about detergents ,and this includes household bleaches (which have a small amount of detergent in). They will destroy any wateproofing and make it almost impossible to reproof. Pure soap is fine but still needs a very good rinse. Milton is good,it's just pure bleach,salt and water. The Isabella website has a section on canvas care,as does the tencate one. Once dry,the absolute best way to kill mildew is 6 weeks under the Med sun!
