Held at the Elvaston Castle Country Park for 30 years, the steam rally promises to be fun day out for all the family. You can expect a varied display of steam vehicles including fair organs, tractors, miniature steam engines and much more. For the little ones there is children's entertainment, plus so much more..
You can find full details of this brilliant event, which raises a lot of money for charity here
I can now confirm the dates for the actual rally are 4th & 5th July. Camping is from Friday 3rd July from 12 noon to Monday 6th July at 12 noon.
The very special advance booking price to UKCampsite.co.uk Members will be £32 which includes the 3 nights camping and admission to the rally on both days and Saturday night for 2 adults and their children. The cost for single campers will be £20.
Should anyone wish to attend and not pre book then the standard non booked charge of £40 will apply.
Bookings will be through the P O Box as in previous years and will open on Easter Tuesday, 14th April and close on Saturday 20th June. Please don't send any bookings prior to the start date. There's plenty of room for everyone!
There will be a shower block on site again but this may be a coin operated unit. There will be the usual toilets and water available from Friday afternoon.
The show organisers would be extremely grateful if, once again, some of the members might be able to run the entrance gate.
All being well, I shall be there as an exhibitor as usual so look out for a dark blue Scammell and VW Camper parked with the Heavy Haulage and please come and say hello because (apart from the peeps I hope to meet at Newark in March, I don't yet know anyone on here).
It is a great show and plenty of dog walks and amusement for the kids
(Ratty, hope it's okay to say all this on here when I am not a 'customer' on this occasion)
We are going to Newark in March as well as Elvaston so we will look out for you there! Make sure you put your ukcs flag sticker on show so we know who you are!!
