just thinking ahead here folks as to what you would want in 2008 thinking about hosting 2 or possibly 3 meets between may and july as August is when papa and Als organise Bruces which is probably the major scottish meet thoughts are, something in the perth area, possibly do something either at Bo'ness and Kinneil railway, the caravan club hold a rally there and unfortunately it is caravans only as you are pitched in the railway's carpark but being a life member of the railway I might be able to persuade them into shunting a compartment coach into the bay platform for the (normally) tenters, this would be rough as you would be sleeping on the compartment seats, there is no shower facilities but might be able to get the railway to leave a toilet open. You still have cover with the station canopies. if they arent up for it I could look at the scottish bus museum at Lathalmond near Dunfermline and possibly a meet in burns country perhaps Culzean Castle plus I would imagine rattyhorses will do cannich in 2008 so thats my ideas over to you?????

Bus Museum sounds good, got grass there as well I believe!
Bruces will be in August as per Normal, will advise of the dates once I have spoken with Jan after this years bash, will be booking it during the meet for next year as per normal. Might even make it a full fortnight next year! Or even Three weeks, Naw thats too much lol!
Keep us informed of any developments,
Auchterarder Next year is a must, we keep saying we will do this one but so far it has gone by the wayside. Lovely part of the country and Lobey has spoken to me often about this site which he is recommending.
Thanks for the ideas Alan, glad someone is thinking ahead!

cheers Mike for that as I havent travelled the country like you and papa it was a bit hit and miss but will look at that one
Rachel you have been busy thinking ahead, I have just about written 2007 off :-( agree with you about cannich as brenda was at me to come up but as it was too close to bruces
my opinion is that we dont want to clog up the calander too much say 1 meet per month between april and september and try to keep them split up. dont think we need to go that formal and allocate areas why not have the usual brainstrorming, and pick the meets then mutually agree who is host
think UKCS has enough members in scotland to get at least 8 units at each one
thats my opinions for what they are worth

sounds good to me. as i say picking areas might not work as there are only 3 possible sites for meets by me but you have to members of the CC&C or CC to attend which i dont think would be fair for those that dont want to join.i am willing to carry on cannich as i have a very good repore (sp) with the owner and he is quite happy with our meets etc being held there and doesnt see a problem with us carrying on.
