After last night in the pop up...

the beast is pitched!

and glamped...! (yes is official and i am proud of it. I have no yearning to go back to a poly ridge that leaks and makes my sleeping bag wet. and having to eat sausage rolls for breakfast)

what can I say but WOW, I have noticed tho that the side walls look a lot higher than the 5m or is it just a trick of the furniture/light?

Oh................ that's just beautiful,........... I really mean that.

I was going to say about the side walls as well 'cause you sofa looks a better fit in this tent. What about the pouffe thingy . the round one in front of the low table (don't know how to spell it) did you make it or buy it? It's just lovely and by far your best set up yet . LOVE IT

Helen

wow Val, I just cant wait to see it in the flesh. Looks amazing  I love your purple sheepskin rug, the tea tray and the flowers on your sunncamp larder Be warned though... it all looks so comfy I may squat there and refuse to leave. Even your bins purple!!

Not wanting to give up camping completly now we have the van I have spent the afternoon/ evening lusting over a Gelert Cabana 4 after seeing Tinas test pitch pics. I want to be able to get away with DD in something easy to pitch and the Cabana or similar seems to be the solution. Got excited when I spotted purple/pink accessories in Mountain Warehouse and remembered I bought a huge throw from Homesense last summer in purple and pinks.

I reckon when the Barbados goes a bell tent/ Cabana thing is the way to go. I will be getting ideas of you this week. Must show your pics to my SIL as we keep trying to get her into camping (we've got her son coming to IOW with us) as she still thinks camping is crawling into a poky tent and roughing it.

At last! Looking good Val....and how long did it take to glamp it up? Bet you enjoyed it though. I notice you have a pouffe now......and you said mine looked like a pork pie lol. I like the high walls too - could be very useful. Well I'm glad to see the pics at last, as I still haven't had time to get anything sorted this end, so I may not get to see it close up after all. I also noticed that you said it was a pitch anywhere site, which will probably mean I will end up stuck in a crappy corner if I am last there

Tracey

PS: Glad to hear Intents has got sorted - I will email you later.

Gorge, gorge and even more gorge! I am truly lost for words...

To me, this is all what the bells are about and I love it.

Val, you truely are the queen of glamping and I bow before your awesomeness!! How do you get all your kit there?!

(Just a thought re your purple tent, green groundsheet...purple and green are opposite each other on the colour wheel and therefore the most harmonious match for each other, maybe that's why they've done it?!)

I just love that your dogs always look so at home in the tent  x
