Just wanted to share something with Outwell Montana owners...
If you were thinking of buying either an full (covered) extension or a canopy extension and can't quite make your minds up - we used our new extension (full covered) for the first time this weekend -
We camped this week and it was torrential rain (another story!) but we (2 adults & 2 kids) did actually manage to cook and sit under this from morning till about 7.30pm (till the rain became torrential and the wind upgraded to gale force!)
You still get that 'outdoor' feel but are sheltered from the elements...we couldn't have managed without it..am sure some people will prefer the 'canopy' but for us, this gave the best shelter without feeling too enclosed.
A real good investment.
Will post pics sometime this week...

I am thinking of getting the extension to go onto my Coleman Cedar Creek tent as the size of the minnesota 4 are very similar ( only a few cm's difference ) could anybody tell me how it attaches to the tent so that I can try to work out if I could somehow attach it to mine does it have a bit that goes over the top of the tent ? or is it free standing with guy ropes ?
Thanks xoopsx
It goes over the tent and attaches to the middle lot of poles, it can't stand on it's own.
I couldn't go camping without mine now!!, great to cook and sit in, come sunshine or rain!!.
