Another utility tent query

Decided to buy a utility tent to use as a kitchen tent as I'm neurotic about cooking in the main tent and it'll be a bit chilly cooking outside at the end of the month methinks

So which would you experienced folks go for?

http://www.worldofcamping.co.uk/shop/Detail.asp?ProductID=1173

or the Outdoor Revolution one here -

http://www.tamworthcamping.co.uk/tamworth_camping/88888/mia/d/outdoor+revolution+double+outhouse+utility+tent/pid/6814786

(The O.R one is in the Camperlands sale at £26.67 but I can't get the link to work!)

I've spent all evening surfing and can't decide between the two. Unless of course you can suggest somehting better????? Got to be a reasonable price though - I've totally overspent on my camping budget already!!

Hi Anne
If you intend cooking in a auxiliary tent it should have a
mesh window to release the steam and condensation, otherwise it will be like been in a steam bath.
Regards
Rex.

I still like the Aztec one as think it may come with steel poles for door too but not sure about this.I don't think the O.R one does.As for ventilation I'm not sure about that. The Aztec one is a good size too. Also HH good.

I'd like 1 of these myself but I can't afford one just yet,so maybe I will get one another time.I think would be very handy for extra storage such as bikes etc.
It does seem to be a good price.

The outdoor revolution one does an XL size (I have just ordered one) that is comparable with the aztec one

http://www.uksportsandfitness.com/product_info.php?products_id=17931&ID=107

The one you have listed here is just the double 'toilet' tent..

It has a window as well - HH is 3000 compared to Aztec 4000, but i preferred the grey one! (got mine for £40 off ebay new, but was a private sale)

Thanks everyone for all the advice and opinions. I've finally made a decision and have gone for the Outdoor Revolution XL Outhouse - seems to have everything I need and is £45.99 at World of Camping so not a bad price (it's my early Christmas present!!)

Now just can't wait for it to arrive!

The outhouse grey also goes with any tent colour too - couldn't possibly consider having a utility tent which clashed with my tent!

janso100, could I ask you about your Quechua base as I'm seriously considering buying one to use as a pup tent and also as a utility tent to our big tent.  Is there enough room to use camp beds to sleep on in the base and how many would fit?  We use the gelert aluminium framed beds they are about 195cm long and 65 wide.  Sounds like your please with this tent, any advise would be appreciated.

It is the ultimate utility tent. If you buy the inner also, it turns into a normal tent and could sleep four. It has mesh linings on windows if you want to cook in it. You can pop it up and down as you please. On a short trip i just use my 2 second tent rather than the outwell, if the weather turns bad i then pop up the utility to sit in etc

We used to have the smaller outhouse before we got our day tent and TBH it's a great buy. I'm sure you'll find it fine Anne, you may want to consider upgrading it to something like a day tent in a few years, but it will do for a starter.

Did you get it pitched? Let me know what it's like when it's up.
