Yeeha, our new tent has just been delivered
It's the Sunncamp Typhoon 1000.
Jan and I saw this on Sunday at the camping exhibition in Wokingham, searched the internet and saw it and bought it on e-Bay on Monday evening.
Blacks eat your heart out eh
All I can say so far is, holy heck the bag is big and I thought the Venus 5's was. Lucky we've got a Mondeo estate and just the two of us.
Anyway, as soon as Jan gets in it's going up in our garden and will be used properly for the first time at Bosworth Water Trust site next weekend. Can't wait.

It's got everything I wanted, (apart from it being inner first pitching, but what the heck).
I like
1. the height that I can stand and move around in, even the bedrooms
2. lots of proper doors, one on each side that can be made into a porch
3. huge porch at the front, again I can stand up in it and cook in it
4. bedrooms can be fully zipped out leaving a huge living space.
5. light grey ground sheet makes the inside nice and bright
6. lots of plastic windows, even in the "roof"
7. lots of mesh windows
8. mesh in bedroom faces outwards so you can maintain privacy from other bedroom
9. SIG
10. Where there is no door the fly can be unzipped and rolled up to provide even more ventilation.
I'm sure there are some others but I'm now going to attempt to pitch it, well after lunch.

Well, we pitched it, and it was a doddle, up in 40 minutes and down in 20. Didn't peg it down properly though so add 5/10 minutes.
Some photos of it being pitched.
The last one shows how the ends open up and also the sides that aren't a door to allow massive ventilation. Only hope the weather holds.
Bag was big enough to get it back into too, but it's even bigger than it was!
We will only use the one bedroom, and unzip the other to have a larger living area. It'll be nice to decide what end to sleep and what end to look out of in addition to the main porch door and back door. Got more doors than my house
