to far north for me. :( Really want to try going away with the kids without the Hubby and try out our new tent but can't get it up without help so a meet would have been perfect chance to see if I could cope.
Love Hubby to bits but his idea of camping isn't mine and vice versa
Hi guys, what time are you all arriving on the friday? I am only an hr ish away but work til 2pm, possibly get there approx 4pm for me, how does that sound. If you all get there early would you save me a pitch close by Oh and this is a solo campers male and female meet not just a boozy male bonding weekend, yes been reading your posts dragon ha ha ha, I am happy to share the choccy biccys though billy but I will be dunking them in my cuppa t. Is anyone bringing a fire-pit? Are we allowed fire-pits? I dont have one but would be lovely to have an evening gathered around one? Also, is anyone bringing their 4 legged friend and if not would anyone mind if I did?
Diane i can assure you that for my part it will not just be a drunken male bonding session (i would never try to bond with a male drunk or sober). as to your point about fire pits i agree it would be nice to sit around a fire swapping tales having a little drinkies but as i dont know the site i couldnt say yes or no but maybe Billy would have an idea. Failing that we could sit around a few barbeques lol.
Im planning to have the friday off so i can get up there around lunchtime or soon after and get pitched nice and early and get the kettle on for anyone who arrives later so i may be able to offer you a cuppa for dunking purposes.
I look forward to meeting you and your four legged friend which im assuming is a dog not a comodo dragon or or pet wildebeast.
Before I contact the site to book can you tell me if your having ehu or not, I am a wimp and would usually book ehu just for my electric heater but might not be near the non ehu campers so I would have to be brave and go without, but I would invest in some thermals instead, very attractive, but thats between you and me as I dont want any rumours starting ha ha ha
Hi dragon thanks for your reply, I have one of thoses mini bbq thingys so will bring it with me, once I have got the sites permission to use it. I wish I could get friday off but thats a def no no for me so looks like you will be making a t 2 sugars and plenty of milk please please please. I see your from manchester, you could pick up my tent en route ha ha. Bruno is my 4 legged doggy best friend he's a bit old and doddery now (15yrs old) but loves camping with me, its me who's the wildebeast
Diane no i wont be having an EHU ( have a look at my gas and battery camper thread lol) but im sure as the time gets closer we will have sorted out who is and isnt going electric and be able to work something out as to where we all pitch.
I will be bringing a BBQ to cook on and just in case we can use them for heating too
And on a personal note i refuse to believe you are a wildebeast and supplying you with a brew would be a pleasure.

Hi Diane Im not going to be able to get there until 4 30ish kids dont finish school till 3 so we'll set off straight away.
Should imagine people will be arriving all day so its no problem what time you arrive
Firepits are allowed on site as long as they are off the grass and yes dogs are allowed at no extra charge.
dont forget to post back when you have booked your pitch !!!
