Hi i've got a Bailey Ranger 500/5

I went to storage yesterday to bring the van home to wash and polish it. When i connected my black plug i had no offside indicator i managed to get the van home and checked the back indicator blub which was ok so i checked wiring in the black plug which was all in order, I even put a new black plug on and still no joy, so i used my 12v tester to check if there was a feed from my car to trailer plug and there was, then i checked the rear of caravan and nothing. I think i'm going to have to re-wire the light to my Caravan and was wondering if anyone has any experiance in doing so?

Thanks in Advance

Sorry, I don't know the Bailey layout, but do you have fuses in the 'van for the road lights? If so, have you checked the one for the indicator?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply, our van is a 2004 model, when you say its essential that pin 6 is wired through a split relay are you referring to plug 12s? Also would you know where the Earth/negative is on the rear lights, i removed the rear light and there's two wires going to lamp unit one green and one white cable i presume the white one is the earth but i would also presume all the rear lights share the same earth?

Thanks in Advance....

ps any ideas on best way to re-wire the back lights?

Michael, do you know the little rubber gromits where the rear light lenses screw into? I was wondering if you know where i could buy them from as they popped inside the back panel yesterday...I will let you know how i get on...Where abouts in Lancashire are you from? Just seems weird that the o/s indicator won't work...

Most caravan dealers do them - they are called "Caravan Cavity Fixings - 8mm."

You can also get them on eBay.

I think this type are better Michael, as the metal type might corrode, causing a problem trying to get the screw out;
