We have had the 5 of us in our Cabanon 4 for years and that was without extensions and tarps - having said that we did take along a gazebo too.
It was only this summer in France that we realised how much bigger it was without the inner tent put up. A footprint groundsheet and a warm evening was all it needed.
A most wonderful of all canvas tents - I just hope we appreciate our Barbados as much - yet to pitch it in anger. We are looking forward to Spring 2010.
What a shame that all that other stuff has been included in the auction and the price. I'd go for it if it was just the tent, footprint and extension but there's nothing else I want (including the tarp).
Welshmark, was it only the tarp you wanted?

Everyone else - I reckon "the seller" has seen the error of his ways and now wants a plastic tent that fits in a car boot
Mark - Tatonka Tarp - I have the same tarp as the seller. I cannot begin to tell you how good it is other than in my wife's words - "This is the best thing you have ever bought" obviously she was referring to camping stuff at the time
It is "technical cotton" and stuffs into a compression bag making it a space saving godesend.
This tarp is so flexible with options. You will need (as the seller has) adjustable poles (if you want the cheapest supplier say so). I'm also about to buy a slightly smaller Tantonka tarp, as I love them so much.
It should not be confused with cheaper/inferior tarps.
I can 100% guarantee it will be in top condition and know the owner too. I bought an Andorra off this seller this time last year and can say that it was worth every penny (as were all the extra that were thrown in) Also have the tarp as this seller swears by them.
I know the whole set up was only bought around 8 months ago at the latest as the seller did previously part with all his canvas and bought a TT but decided he wanted to go back to canvas.
We have also been very very tempted ..........
Whoever does buy it will be very happy (and meet a great guy and his wife)

Mr Biscuit, the seller of this canvas tent etc used to post on this board and I am quietly confident that he would rather eat his own hair than camp in a plastic tent

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Mark - if I were you I would go on the auction and ask the seller those questions as he has years and years of knowledge and will be only too glad to help you out.
Tell him we told you to ask his advice.
