Hi, have just bought a Maryland xl, and would like some sort of canopy, awning thing just to add a bit of shade, extra space etc,

Have seen the universal side canopy, but the sliding seems to offer more options,

can you attach it so it follows on from the tent entrance or is it supposed to be a seperate entity???

Has anyone tried it with the new tents or any tents???

It is suppose to be seperate,but you can put is as near to the front of the Maryland as possible.

I think Valbarley has one pitched in front of there Bearlake somewhere

hellloooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

i debated getting day tents, canopies etc but in the end went for the sliding canopy.  Had it slightly out from the front of the tent but did think it would be good coming away as an extended tunnel at the entrance.  not sure how i would arrange the guy ropes though

easy to put up, lightweight and strong enough when the winds started once the delta pegs were in

not that practical in torrential downpours as no sides, but i'm not planning in sitting outside then anyway.  has velcro straps inside to cable a light aong the roof as well

Hi valbarley thanks for that, your tent set up looks great,


Think i will chose that over a canopy, as i think you have slightly more options in how you set it up, we already have a the outwell wind break so could have that along one side of the canopy and you have a nice little sheltered area,

However, not sure if we can afford it this year, might have to wait untill next year!! Shame
