Nice one bridgeywidge  I asked about DIY canopies not long ago, but didn’t get much response.

I hope this thread is more successful as I’m hungry for inspiration that will stop me buying one of those off the shelf jobbies.

Unfortunately didn't take any photos last year with the Vango Adventure Tarp up on either of our tents - sorry!

Mega Bump!!!

Seeing as this thread will be 3 years old next birthday, (and seeing as I've only just found it!!), I thought it might be a good idea if I revived it.

There must have been many an attempt, and many a photo, taken between us in that time!!

I'll get the second half under way....


This is the Vango Adventure Tarp, used as a kitchen shelter. My first attempt, and after a few fiddles and minor amendments, I ended up being rather chuffed!! :-)

I have to say, Alahol2, while that tent looks a bit on the small side for mine and Muckerette's glamping "needs", that set up, and particularly the tarp, is actually rather beautiful!!

Your 4th pic is now my all-time fave tarp pic... so far! Very "spider-esque" :-)
