I got a Cabanon Monaco from Freecycle in May 2012 but due to bad weather leading me towards a tent with a SIG, I have only just managed to get away in it.
I can confirm that this is an awesome tent, spacious, cool, easy to put up and also made in the days when "Five Man" meant five man. Couldn't be happier - the other campers were giving me compliments all weekend!
...apart from the curtains. Must change the curtains...

very cool tent, apart from the curtains as you say. I have a large frame tent but it doesn't open up at the side like that one does. I would have been glad of it last week rather than the superheated plastic poly tent we had.
The difference between this and our poly tents is amazing.
There are aspects of the design of the poly that I prefer and poly is easier to look after and pack a lot smaller, but this felt so sturdy and substantial (although there wasn't any wind to speak of).
I wouldn't mind looking at one of the big cotton Outwells, but as you can pick an old but fine Cabanon up for around £100 on ebay (or get one free if you're lucky like me), I'm not sure I could justify the expense of the Outwell!
Brilliant tent and what's wrong with the curtains, they add a dash of colour and make it individual! It's a lovely colour! I may be a bit biased though as I love my Cabanon!
Excellent free find! Enjoy!!
