We love Highfields Farm in Fenny Bentley , just outside of Ashbourne. It is right on the Tissington Trail http://www.highpeak.co.uk/hp/h_tistbd.htm. It is high up on a hill and away from the busy A515. It has its own swimming pool (they charge extra for this), a little shop, a sizeable playground and a couple of good pubs within walking distance. Notably The Blue Bell Inn where the food is terrific and always a favourite with us. I believe that they are trying to get an old footpath reopened which will provide a better route to the pub than currently. Plenty of kids around for your lads to make friends with as well which helps with your own sanity! Edit - just found their web site http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2316

Important: If you are posting details of a site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read
Thanks

Reason that I didnt link via UKCampsite is previousley the owners have not allowed reviews to be published on this site. This doesnt really add much value to the user experience and would more likely frustrate them. On a positive note however the ownership of Highfields Farm changed about 18months ago so it would be worthwhile getting someone from UKCampsite to contact the new owners and getting this restriction rectified if possible. BTW I have no financial incentive in promoting this camp site other than the fact that I have a seasonal pitch there.
