hi,This happened last year at sherwood forest wood sites-at the same time-many dogs died then .
i live near the areas
Different stories as to cause of deaths-i have read that no investigation is to take place this year!
Last year it happened at thieves wood, sherwood forest pines, blidworth woods and other sherwood forest wood sites, first time i have heard from this chat site that it has happened outside notts areas
I think there is more to it -?dog haters/sabotage from people who work for sherwood forest/wrong insectisides used-?? something is being covered up
Apparantly dogs really suffer ,very toxic

I can't speak for others but my dog definitely didn't drink from any water while out and she is frontlined against ticks so that rules out blue-green algae and tick bites. Good news is she now seems back to normal so hopefully she is in the clear now. But she had me worried for a few days.
I haven't been to any other sites lately either.
Alls well for me, sorry to others who have not been so lucky.
Blue green algae posionning it isn't necessary for the dog to have drunk any water a simple clean of paws that have been subject to stagnant water, even a puddle, could produce a dog with unwell symptoms. I believe that local vets could test for blue green algae poisionning........
There were warnings around the country about blue green algae indeed a whippet lost it's life not so long ago from drinking from a bowl that has stagnant water with blue green algae in it in the owners back garden, another was extremely unwell from simply washing his paws after a walk where he had wondered thro a apprx 1" puddle. Symptoms can be as extreme as loss of life or as sickness and/or the runs!.
------------- If you can't beat em, join em, so we did! And then we sold it for a holiday let & Glamping pod instead 😁
