Hi all,

I am planning to walk the Dales Way next year, early on probably about easter time, with my son who is 11 and maybe a friend.

Has anyone on here done this walk and can they recommend any sites along the way, we would like to camp most of the way, although we may do the odd youth hostel just to break things up. We are gonna take about a week to do the whole 84 miles Saturday to Saturday. Really looking forward to it, should be a great Father/Son experience.

Any advice welcomed.

Thanks Grinder, have tried google but didn't seem to be too much on camp sites. I will go to the bookshop over the weekend and get a few O/S maps and a guide book of some kind, planning is nearly as much fun as doing I often find

We will walk from Ilkley to the Lakes, as you spotted we live in Kendal so we will meet rest of the family in Bowness for a lift home .
