Just after some advice, I have planned our first trip to France and the journey from Bolton to the Chunnel will be broken down over 2 days each way, this is because we have 2 young children and doing the Dover run in one day is unfair, so I am looking fro a Caravan site for 1 night each way just off the M40 near London.
Any suggestions?
Chris
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Depending on the time try going M6, A50, A14, M11 and stopping at Theobalds Park Camping and Caravan Club site (prices are quite cheap.then M25 to Dartford.
We did this journey many times with our caravan from just outside Chorley when our kids were younger. We then used to have a bit of time on the Kent coast before late afternoon / early evening crossing and a camp site near Calais. (One of the ones at Licques was our favouraite)

We stayed at Godwins Ice Cream Farm a couple of years ago. Would recommend it as a nice quiet site.
Yes, it is nice, there is also Peachcroft Farm at Abingdon.
