This site had been on our list to visit for a while now. A previous attempt to visit (last Easter) was thwarted by snow, then it was fully booked when we were available, so we were really pleased to finally get here.
We had one rainy day, but that was the day after our big walk, so it gave us the excuse to stay in the tent most of the day, listening to the sound of rain on the canvas, and resting . For the rest of the stay the weather was kind to us, from a little overcast to hot sun .
It is a great place to visit if you enjoy walking and the kind of scenery that an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' offers. A few pictures:
The obligatory tent photo
The camp site
The camp site from above
Some of the local walking
And a picture from nearby Ludlow if you prefer architecture to hills
All in all, one of our favorite trips to date.
------------- Good times and great adventures await...
I saw this site in 'Camping' magazine a couple of issues ago and thought it should be added to my 'to go to' list. Seeing your beautiful photos it has made it a definite for the future. Thanks for posting them.
