I am thinking of buying my OH a Road Angel 7000, does any one have one and if so whats the verdict he wants a sat nav and walking map in one.

I use Igo software for sat nav, and set to "Lorry " in options takes us on caravan friendly roads.

On the same system I use Fugawi (OS based) maps for walking and off road use.

Both very good and reasonably priced.

I used to have road angels for some years, the direct debit on them became a pain after a while.

I now have a tom tom which I find much easier to use and I only pay £19 per year for safety camera updates.

i'v just bought a cheap and nasty navigo widescrean from fleabay ,the onboard software is ok but not upgradeable (there is a small one from ebuyer) so i plonked in tomtom 7 which is far better.
i dont drive much but its extra features will mean i can play mp3's ,mp4's and fill a memory card up with photo's to keep the inlaws up to date with our branch of the family
