Can anyone recommend a good quality, easy to erect, stable kitchen stand?

I need to buy one but the more I look the more confused I get.
I need one large enough to take the 2 burner camping stove/grill and still have space for me to prepare food for 6 as well as somewhere to store pots and pans.
Don't need a larder as we have a seperate one.
I did see one on eBay a few weeks ago that had a lantern hook over the grill area which I thought may be useful?!

Any suggestions? Price isn't really an issue although cheaper is always good!! I'm happy to pay whatever it takes to get the right product!

Many Thanks
Helen xx

We also had a fold up kitchen unit that we stopped using. They don't really seem to do anything very well, there isn't enough space to prepare much in the way of food and they don't contain a vast amount of storage space because of the concertina design.

We use a big table that is also higher than the kitchen stand (OH is tall and found the stand too short for him) we can then stack utensils, pots and pans etc. underneath in plastic boxes.

Make sure you get something than has adjustable legs.

We just use the ALU tables as well and have a chopping board for OH to use when cooking. He was on about getting a kitchen thingy but I don't think they give enough space on the tops. Pan rest - will add that to my shopping list but tbh he usually only uses the wok ot tepenyaki grill.

Concertina stands can be very heavy and awkward, I could never get on with the one we started out with.

Have also tried the alu fold out type with integral windshield, as in the post above. That one looked very nice but I still seemed to need a table to hand for food prep, dishing up etc.

My preference now for a flexible, practical set up would be for a table or two, and store pans etc underneath them in the crates they travelled in. Plus a cooker with its own or an add-on windscreen.

I do have a really neat kitchen stand which is purpose designed for suitcase stoves. I like it a lot because it does a good job with the minimum of fuss but even so it quite often stays at home if I'm just going for a weekend

If money was no object I would have a sunncamp kitchen workstation.

Can't seem to get a picture on here though, but if you search in the equipment section you will find a picture.

Sunncamp Kitchen Workstation

This one?

I like it as a concept but I don't think I'd like one.   I like to have washing up away from cooking so that someone else can do the washing up

That's it. I wouldn't use the bowl for washing up. We have a seperate bowl that all goes into then taken straight to the Wash area.
I'd probably use the bowl for peelings etc or maybe to store veg in. Could even be for jar and sauce etc.

I must be careful....almost talking myself into needing one.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
Really like the look of the Sunncamp Workstation! Loads of space for pots and pans and plenty of food preperation space for feeding the hungry mob.
Just have to persuade OH that it's an essential piece of kit I can't live without!

Yes, well spotted surfspud! I wonder if its possible to put a board or something over the washing up bowl hole, to make it more useable?

Anyone seen one up and/or folded down, to get an idea of what it would be like to pack? I'm guessing the legs fold under but the worktop stays the same length.

Only seen it up. Wish I had taken more notice of it at that time. Just thought how much I liked it but was not in price range. Was also annoyed with the shop as we were after a carpet for our tent and they refused to help saying that you can only buy the carpet for your exact tent.

Won't be going to that camping shop again!

We have a normal kettle that we use. It was a cheapie from Woolworths. In fact it is better than our home one. Will also be getting a cheap toaster as we are off for 3 weeks and thought the cobb does toast it takes a while and I don't fancy doing that nearly every day. Plus with toasterbags you can do things like toasted sarnies.
