Just wanted to post about a great piece of camping equipment the Thermarest Dreamtime XL self inflating sleeping mat.
I have never found air beds that comfortable and they are always a great effort to inflate and get the right amount of air in them to make them comfortable. Then they also do not keep you that warm in the night ad are prone to getting punctured easily.
So this year decided to look into sleeping mats of which there are a great many on the market. In the end I went for the Thermarest Dreamtime XL, although not cheap having just been away for the first time and used t I am so pleased I bought it. I was extremely warm, did not have any backache and woke up fully relaxed and refreshed.

Has anyone else experienced these and feel the same?

Went from a £9.99 CampinGaz double airbed, and got two DreamTime XL's, that was back in 2008, last year we slept on the XL's for a fortnight, and they were sublime, we had a fitted sheet made to cover the two XL's you can't even tell that it's two mats fastened together, we don't use sleeping bags, just a KingSize cotton sheet, although recently bought a KingSize 4.5Tog Duvet from Netto for £6!, the cotton KingSize Duvet cover for it cost £10!, although that was a M&S second of Bury market, the Duvet set-up packs small, which is good as we hope not to use it, but handy to have should temps dip.

Just ordered one of these the other day so hoping it will come soon.

We have 3 of the fat airics which are very comfortable indeed but unfortunately one keeps deflating.

I suppose it could be fixed and will probably have a go but just fancied the extra luxury of the thermarest. I hope it lives up to expectations.

Alpkit customer service is very good. It may be the valve and they would probably send you a new one out. Worth a phone call anyway.

Yes, I think I will give Alpkit a ring hlk01, it hasn't had that much use and we have been very careful with the mats.
