Hi

I'm new to all this so please bear with me

I have purchased the above tent from ebay but am unable to find any instructions on how to pitch it, anywhere. I have looked on here as well as you tube to no avail. If anyone can point me in the right direction, or even have some instructions then that would be ace. Just so there is no confusion it is the tent that has to have the inner pitched first and then the flysheet over the top.

Thanks

Welcome to UKCS!

I wondering if there is a great deal of difference in pitching the 2005 model as to pitching the latest 2010 model? The instructions for this (on Outwells site - here) might at least give you enough of a clue?

I've had a bored ten minutes in work and tried searching Google also, can't find anything for pitching the earlier model... Best bet is you'll get some help on here from an owner, on look at the 2010 instructions, (there is also a video that might help) and have a practice before you go away with it...

Good luck with the search,

ADL

Hi we have an old Hartford XXL which is inner first so i assume the pitching will be fairly similar.

There are 2 poles that go front to back & 1 that goes from side to side & these all need putting through their (colour coded) sleeves whilst the tent is laid on the ground. One of you needs to go inside the tent (to hold it up) whilst the other puts these poles into the relevant ring & pin. There will be 3 pins on each ring & they will need to go into the middle one. You can then put the bedroom poles in & attach to the outer pins, then peg the inner tent out. Once that is done you will need to pull the flysheet over (ensuring the door is in the right position). There should be some velcro fastenings on the inside of the flysheet that you attach to the cross-over poles. The flysheet can then be pegged out & any tension straps can be tightened.

Its over a year since we've put ours up so the above might be a bit vague but it gives you the general idea. The problems we have is getting the flysheet over on a windy day, but once its up its a great tent. Enjoy!
