I know most will not agree with me but my halogen oven was a waste of money, may have been the fact it was a small one but we gave it away, the lidl oven has been sold many times i have had one and it was great.
------------- they said it couldnt be done so i left it and went camping
a bad days camping is better than a good day at work
We've been using the Aldi one at home for over a year now and haven't used our full size kitchen oven since , we do everything in it , even christmas dinner . The Aldi one has a electric cooker ring heating element and is fan assisted . It does cook the food twice as quick and uses half the electric . We found the food tastes better too .

Btw the bowl is quite heavy . Don't know the suitability for caravaning yet as we haven't taken it with us , but i'd expect it would be great .
I have one similar to the Lidl one which I have used for both camping and in the house. Its a great little thing and cooks really well. My one does get quite hot though round the sides and on top.

Got an Aldi one today, tried it with a joint of beef, and cooked half our pots in the oven, half in the new toy- no discernable difference, first impressions seem very good, lots of accesories with it (including a bent wire thing, which is not mentioned in the handbook, and has no obvious use). I did follow an interesting comment in the book about putting foil in the bottom (the cooker, not mine) which kept it wonderfully clean. Only gripe is that the timer HAS to be set to make it work. We look forward to using it when were off under canvas, er polyester.
Hiya we also went and got one on sunday ,i'm glad we are not the only ones who havn't got a clue what that matal thing is ?!!!!!it cooked ouir chicken very quickly and was really impressed ,we are wondering what is the lowest amp it will work with whilst we are away ?some sites have 10amp which is fine but one site is only 4amp? any sugestions very gratefull thanks louise xxxx
We have the Lidl fan oven, bought it last year to use in our frame tent. It fits perfectly on the lower shelf of the camp kitchen, I was a bit worried about it getting too hot but even when roasting a chicken the outside of the oven didn't get overly hot! It's large enough for two medium size baking trays, with two interior shelves. The only possible drawback could be it's overall size in relation to space available in your car, it's about the size of a standard microwave oven, but nowhere near as heavy!
