Hi we never had instruction for our awning either but all are pretty similar.
This is what we do.
1> Stand with back to caravan with poles on floor in front of us.
2> Most awning poles are spring loaded etc, therefore locate to the two end upright poles, these will have three points to connect other poles. When looking at these with the poles vertical the left one will have a connector point which points up into the air and vica versa for the R/H side. Place these on the floor in there positions.
3> next locate the centre pole this will have four connector points and be shape like a house roof. Again place this on the floor in hte middle of the two outer poles.
4> Depending on the size of awning you will require the cross brace poles now, these will have hooks in one end, there will be one cross brace pole of each of the poles already located. Place these on the floor with the other poles. Note larger awnings have an additional two poles which connect via a clamp and also have a hook on one end.
5> hope fully now you should have 2 longer poles left and three short stubby poles with a hook or similar on one end, The longer poles go between the outer poles and the middle pole and the short stubby ones on the end of each upright pole. A veranda pole might also be included, which goes between one upright and centre pole at approx waist height.
6> Now comes the awning, slide this into the awning rail with the help of an helper. Once in place get under the awning and walk it out to one corner.
7> Depending on what type of hook device you have for the poles place this onto the awning seem in the locations required, i.e. two ends and a centre, add more if required.
8> With aid of a help (2 required ideally) lift one on the outer poles into place and locate the cross brace hook in the catch and then locate into the end outer pole. repeat for other end of the van.
9> Now you should have the two outer oles up and being held by two helpers, Now get the centre pole and add the cross brace.
10> Connect the two poles that go between the outer and middle poles and add the small stubb poles the ends of the outer and middle pole. if required hook the awning over the stub poles.
11> now adjust the height of the vertical poles and tension the roof with the cross brace poles. Ensure the awning is level.
12> Zip in the walls and peg out ensuring it is level and all storm sheets are in place and can be pegged out correctly.
hope this helps. It might also help to mark the poles with coloured tape for next time also.
