Hi all, have just got back from a 6 day break. We have a car with no roof rack or trailer.

We were packed up to the rafters!!!

We have 2 Gelert padded fold-up chairs, these are comfy but take up a lot of room in the car. I wondered if the inflatable sofas were any good, as in are they comfy and do they burst easily??

Just trying to make more room in the car!!!  17

We quite like ours - we have the Wilkos sofa and chair.  The dog jumps on and off them too - we keep them covered with throws and he hasn't popped them - we have used ours last year and this successfully and have recommended them to friends!

We have the Intex, which our son uses most of the time.

It is very comfortable and hard wearing. The only downside is that is very low and both me and my partner have to role off it to get up. In fact she won`t sit on it now.

Our son wouldn`t be without it though.

Inflatable sofas & Chairs have been reduced at Wilkinsons for the last couple of weeks.  We bought one a few years ago, used it twice - kids loved it but I just found it hard to get up from and the back was quite low, I suppose it depends on which make you go for

We succumbed to the Wilkinson one as it was reduced, with some trepidation. We were right to be sceptical because it is so low it is (as said) difficult to get off of and really isn't that comfortable unless you are a child. We ended up giving it away. If you have lots of kids I'd say it was probably worth it but if you want it for adults I would say don't waste your money. The Intex one I believe is just as low.

This is a comfy sofa from Sunncamp. You can get them off Amazon for £30 plus p&p.

The colour is more of an orangey brown than the bright colour in the link.

They also do single chairs, which are also comfy.

Iv got the same sofa as Griff, the sunncamp and it's definitely more orange than red! But the flocked surface means u don't slide off it & I found that by putting a 1m long piece of 2x1 timber under the front edge it stops u sliding off the front of it as without the wood, it feels like your constantly about to slide off the front edge of it.
It remained inflated and didn't need topping up during a weeks camping trip & it folds up small! I'm very pleased with it and will probably buy a 2nd one to put on the other side of the tent!
I did wish it was red rather than orange but the orange has grown on me and now I quite like it!

We got an unflocked Wilkos one and it was hopeless too slippy and kept deflating. I'd definitely recommend if you get one to get a flocked version for a bit of bottom grip!

I've always fancied one but assumed it would last five minutes with dogs. Might have to get one now!

we have the Wilkinsons sofas and love them...we find it best to keep a nice thick throw over the top to protect it from punctures from above and a soft rug underneath (we use one on top of our tent carpet as we can lift the rug easily and give it a shake outside if necessary) to protect it from punctures from below...

we're planning to buy a couple of the Wilkinsons inflatable chairs this year (end of season sale) so we can use them for weekend trips if needs be...

We had two of the Wilkinsons chairs and they are a total waste of time. They are very difficult to get out of. They constantly want re-inflating. Definitely do not have too much to drink whilst sat in it because you won`t stay in it long. IMHO a very poor design.

We now have the Sunncamp deluxe double flocked sofa and two chairs, which are really comfy.

The son won`t give up his Intex sofa so we have two sofas and two chairs !!!!!

I like my Wilko's sofa bed.  Used it twice so far, hopefully it will have it's third outing in Oct.  I like it, because I can put my feet up, read my book, with a glass of wine in the other hand.   Bliss

Now you have done it.   definitly need to go camping again, before the tent is put away for the winter.

Just spent 2 weeks with a Wilkinson 5 in 1. It looks the job, but I think that my 2 kids had a better deal with it then me. To be fair, I am somewhat heavier than they are, but found that there was no back support. Will be taking it back soon.

I have a wilkinsons sofa and I love it! I used to use the 12v air pump to pump it up but I've found you need to use a foot pump to get enough air into the back and make it nice and supportive.
