Just thought i would share these with you as my Wife (who always suffers from cold feet even in the mildest of weather) thinks they are great.
They are called heat holders socks and i bought them before our last trip, http://www.snowandicegrips.co.uk/heat-holders-socks-31-c.asp my wife now swears by them. They recon to be 7 x warmer than cotton socks so for anyone who has still got a trip planned might be worth looking at?
------------- Experience enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
I also have a discount code they emailed me recently (sorry should have put it in my first post) for 10% off (anything i think) try sept10% it should be for existing customers but might work?
Muckerette has been into these a good while now..... literally!!
I succumbed last week whilst camping, and must say, they are good, but be warned, you won't be able to just slip in and out of your half wellies, cos they am thick!!
I have to now sit down and tug them on and off (the wellies, not the socks!!). A man's life is never easy!!
Latest word on the street around here, is that Primark have now started doing them, apparently at £3.99, but don't shoot..... I am but a messenger!

I got them in Primark where they are branded "Feet heaters" and are £2.50 for kids (go up to adult sizes though, I just bought the kids ones as I'm a size 4) and £4 for the adult sizes I think. They are amazing! The kids and I had them on for our -4 camping trip recently and not a cold tootsie in sight. Hubby, who had poo pooed them was both green with envy and blue with the cold
Just to let you know i have just ordered some more socks (and some ice grips, getting ready for the winter!) and the sept10% discount code is still working. Guess they forgot to take it offtake a look www.snowandicegrips.co.uk
You cannot beat the genuine British Army Arctic sock, and despite it's name ,works in the Antarctic too! Very long in the leg,and last for years,Mr.Brydon would approve.
