Hello
I've been reading about the various merits of Coleman and Camping Gaz stoves. I am thinking of buring a two burner stove and am leaning towards a Coleman dual fuel. I would like some advice as to whether you can safely use one on top of an ordinary camping type table? By that I mean a table with a laminated chipboard type top - or does the base of the stove get too hot and probably spoil the table top? If I had to buy a "camping kitchen" to use the stove on I may decide on a gas burner instead. I am sorry if this seems a particularly dumb question but I have no experience at all of petrol stoves, until now I have only used single burner gas stoves.
Thanks.

the coleman is tip top brilliant, I just used it on top of a alluminium roll up table and it was fine. we would definately struggle going back to gas now.
problems with gas IMO, the less bulky and lighter cartridges and 901, 904 ,907 bottles can still have lots of gas left and no pressure to do anything, and any bottle above you are getting into heavy and bulky scenarios, and anybody that says its dangerous to carry fuel, then you see how safe a jerry can or sig/msr bottles, thats what you should be using.. and lets not forget how many times we have read of someone blowing there hand off cos of a leaking gas pipe, there are dangers in cooking full stop, be it gas, petrol or open camp fire.
I felt very safe with the coleman and would recommend them to anyone with the common sense to know the rules.
and it is the quickest cup of tea ive ever had while camping, and those fold up toasting things are ace on them.
Coleman all the way for me.
