Sportsdirect.com are showing their very reasonably priced Gelert Xpedition 10cm SIM's as 'in stock' (they've been listed as 'pre order' for at least three months now).
A word of caution, Sports Direct have had some very poor online reviews. You pays your money and takes your chances. Or not.
Interested in the gelert breeze blocker for £18, trying first to find it for that price on Amazon. I have the multi stripe windbreaks from argos but I'd rather have something in a less obvious colour scheme!
Has anyone ordered from sports direct? Any issues?
Hmmm changed my mind, the product itself doesn't get great reviews. Perhaps I'll stick to my stripey beach style windbreak after all never had a problem with it.
My main issue with SportsDirect.com is the way they advertise stuff at impossibly low prices, then never seem to have any stock. It's not really fair on specialist camping shops which tend to do a better job of either restocking or removing items from their websites.
I've had some SIMs on 'pre-order' with them since January. Each month they sent me an email extending the expected delivery date by a month. This was fine by me as I expected as much and don't need them till May anyway. One more delay and I would have cancelled the order and got some from Costco or Amazon.
They also automatically put junk ('magazine' and mug etc...) in your shopping basket which you have to remove before proceeding with the order.
It's also annoying that their bricks and mortar shops are a totally separate operation. There's no option to pick up in store (save on delivery) or get in-store customer service for online purchases.
I tried ordering 2 of these from Sports Direct when they were "in stock" last time. I then received an email to say they were awaiting new stock due to high demand.
After 3 months of receiving email updates of expected delivery dates they emailed to say they couldn't get any more stock and had cancelled my order!
Have just ordered 2 of the Ultrasport SIMs from Amazon as I had a £20 voucher and with free delivery they have only cost me £22.28!
Three SIMs arrived yesterday. I'm very happy with them. They're a good 10cm when fully expanded/inflated. Good quality fabric with a non-stock texture on the bottom. Two metal valves both work well for easy inflation/deflation.
Sports direct are fine as long as you don't pre order. Seriosly cheap and good delivery. I've had chairs, coolbox, poles, my daughters boxing gear and other stuff with no problems.
Just don't pre order. I had a tarp on pre order for 4 months. No way to cancel and in the end it was never in stock.
I think they own gelert now.

Well i have just ordered one of these too, thanks for the tip. My wife is now looking forwward to me trying it so she can have the bed to herself for the night lol...
So much for the Exped i was hoping to get - more the budget option i guess but im finding the budget is having to buy a lot of gear as we set up!!
Thanks for the heads up, I ordered two and they're on the way
A word of warning - The underside of the SIM is quite thin and we've damaged the two we have already being careless getting them out of the loft (the loft ladder has some sharp edges )
