Using a Campingaz 907 cylinder - where the regulator fits to the cylinder - is it possible to then split the gas to two (or more) separate devices?
For example, run the 8mm gas hose from the regulator output nozzle to an 8mm three-way/T-piece nozzle fitting which could then supply two devices?
One connection would be for my stove and I'd like to be able to switch just that one on and off. Is it possible to get 8mm inline nozzle fittings that act as a shut off? Or is there a better way to achieve this?
For example, I'd like to keep flexible pipes, so I presume the best way would be to convert the 8mm gas hose from the regulator to compression and then use compression fittings and ready-crimped flexible pipes for the rest of the installation?
I also presume 5/16'' and 8mm compression fittings are different enough to leak? Which is better? Thinking 8mm but a lot of camper/boat stuff seems to be 5/16"?
Sorry for all the questions and many thanks in advance in you can help with any of them.
Combine those nozzles with a 3 or 4 way connector, I have a 4 way connector on mine, running cooker, BBQ and gas fridge - 4th connection is to the regulator, all are connected using the nozzles above so can be unplugged or left at home without affecting the other stuff, only drawback is that if your bottle runs out you lose the lot.

So with your four way example Brettsy, is the following right?...
Hose from regulator into the four way, then the other three connectors have a bit of hose on each with the valve end of the quick release on, then the appliance ends have the nozzles on to connect in.
This is for my camper as I am running two separate bottles at the moment which seems a bit daft. Seems more sensible to run one out and then swap over.
I don't have the BBQ attached for this trip, the beauty of those quick fit connectors is that they are self sealing and you can just plug in or unplug any of the equipment without even shutting off the gas.
(the fire is moved from there before it gets used)

Ooooh, also, what size jubilee clips are best for making the connections? It looks like that high pressure hose on a fitting must be 15mm at the very least, so perhaps 12-22mm - or will 8-16mm do it?
Any opinions on the crimp on 'O' clips? Do they make a better connection? Or do they just get in the way less?
If you search for "hose spring clip" it brings back different diameter sizes.
I've used them on reasonably high pressure lines in my car, so should be ok for low pressure gas lines. I would file down the protruding edges for a camping application as you wouldn't really ever need to remove them and they can hurt a bit if you catch on them
I have found them here, towards the bottom of the page:
http://www.bes.co.uk/products/071.asp
And they do the pincers for what seem like a reasonable price. I rang them today and asked what size they would recommend for connecting the hose onto a nozzle fitting, but the chap I spoke to didn't have much of a clue unfortunately. I think 15-18mm would do it, but not sure. A good price on 3m lengths of high pressure hose there too.
Will give it a go and report back.
This place has crimp clips too:
http://www.continentalproduct.co.uk/
And they seem to be by far the cheapest I've found for the quick release nozzles. £5.40 inc VAT or as cheap as £4.59 if you buy 10.
We use one for connecting up our gas bbq..but I think I'd really need assurance from the manufacturer that they can safely be used as hose "end stops" ,for a sustained length of time?(..you don't want to end up filling your awning with gas,if the "spare end" doesn't seat properly).
It would be worth maybe looking at an arrangement which incorperated a valve for each line?..maybe be a little flash and use a 4 way manifold..?
Edit: Oops! sorry link didn't work,so removed it..
It was supposed to link to O'Learys site...
Edit 2: ..lets have another go..not O'Learys but there's handy stuff on here:
I can highly recommend Continental for those quick release fittings. Very good price and service. I experienced some irritation with BES on the customer service front, but the products seem sound enough.
The one 15-18mm 'O' clip I have experimented with so far seems to do the job okay, but I haven't leak tested it yet. It feels like it would be quite difficult to pull it off. I would like to see if a size smaller fits though, as you could crimp them up even tighter.
Oh and if you didn't know, you just pinch the ears of the clips with the pincers, rather than the whole thing. That one had me foxed for a bit. They do look quite neat once they are on.
