Just bought a couple of these from Discount Towing and Leisure.

Although suitable for any vertical 22mm or larger pole, really good for tipi and bell tents with no other suitable hanging points. Basically a sprung clamp with curved ends, so it fits round the pole. The bits you would normally squeeze are hooked at the end so hangers or lights won't slip off.

Do you mean the bigger ones that go on a pyramid pole like this or the smaller ones like this ?

We have both and I have almost taken an eye out on the darn things lol . Clumsy? Moi? Erm... yup lol

Can't fore see an eye out problem with mine, as they will be about two feet above my head at least. May just bang my head on the underside of the lantern perhaps.

Raf, the one in the first link might be better for a thicker pole. They have 2 clamps so hold pretty firm and you could certainly hang a lamp safely .

We dont use ours so as I have said before, if anyone wants it, email me with an addy and I will post it.
