started off with the erde 30cm high top cover on the erde 122 trailer,a new addition to the family came along hence more gear had to be carried around lol, conversion made from 4mm treated marine ply and then painted with cupinol wood paint, just compleated a 460 mile round trip to cornwall with no problems atall, has a few extra bits added like spare wheel, handles on the front, extra reflectors i had laying around on the sides and rear,2 extra red led tail lights and a fog light also added to the rear...

Tidy job that,Garry C!
..I can see why folk would do it...but can I ask those who have undertaken the task, just how stable are these small camping trailers, once you've they've been extended?
(..I've in mind, some of the camping trailers that I've seen bouncing down the M5..! )
To me,they shouldn't really be as tall(if not taller!)than they are wide...(..especially when they have pretty narrow track to start with)...
..if it was perfectly stable and safe to do so,why wouldn't the trailer manufactures, just stick with one small base unit and then just increase their range by adding 3,4 or 5ft side to it?..instead of making a whole range of different sized trailers?..
