OMG there is soooo much choice. We have just brought a Voyager 6 and will be camping on grass during late spring, summer and early autumn each year. Do we go plastic, metal, neon, or what? Any help much appreciated.

Presuming the tent came with pegs I would do this...
Buy a pack of 8 rock pegs from Halfords. They call them Groundhog pegs. Take a claw hammer to get them in and more importantly out!
Maybe pick up some Delta ground anchors in case it blows a gale.
That would be more than enough with the pegs you already have for a few trips. You'll soon see if you really need any more, but you won't be short with that lot.
Thank you Reggiewac, have also just found the article on the site about Delta pegs as I hadn't heard of them (hardly surprising though as we are very new to camping so are still working it all out). Husband has a broken arm at the moment so haven't even opened up the tent bag to see what is in there or look at the instructions, so assume it has tent pegs in there. Am liking what I have read about the Deltas though.

Definitely get some groundhogs / rock pegs as a first priority I would say.
Pegs that come with tents, whether plastic or metal, just aren't up to the job on any ground that is remotely hard or stoney.
I'll be told off for saying this by some people, but I think they are more crucial than Deltas if you are only going to invest in one type of extra pegs initially.

Delta Ground Anchors..the strongest, most secure tent pegs in the world! Nylon anchors twice as efficient as rock pegs in 'average' soil! Quality stainless pegs for tougher soil are available.
Love our nylon delta pegs, but just couldn't get them into the dry, hard Norfolk ground a couple of week's ago - so glad that we always carry sufficient rock pegs for the whole tent.
A week later, we couldn't even get all the rock pegs out after an hour of hard work, a claw hammer, large adjustable spanner and hefty screwdriver... The tools gave way before the pegs (although we ended up needing more washers to replace the plastic tops of the rock pegs, which did suffer) - it was certain that the rock pegs weren't going to shift due to wind alone...
------------- Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
