has anyone got a remoska cooker, you get them from lakeland, according to the information you can cook meals in them even cook frozen meals, i wondered if it might be alright for camping, any info anyone?
soon be camping season i can already smell the canvas, heaven
------------- i dont know where i am going but i am on my way!!
I thought of it last year but got the cobb instead because it does all I want it to do and more , with the Remoske it has to be on mains and its not always to hand , but they are good
Saw a lady using a Remoska last year. It is very versatile and is described as a mini oven. We've bought the smaller one for about £75 and use it at home as well as the motorhome. There is a larger model for about £95. Dobiesman is quite correct in pointing out that you require mains hook up or a good inverter as it is rated at 400w.
Hi kelling ....... we have one, used to take it camping ........ brilliant piece of kit - if you do it an oven you can do it in the Remoska .......... worth it's money ..... have hardly used the oven at home since getting it 2yrs ago
I was thinking seriously about the Remoska, so nipped into Lakeland in Harrogate for a look. They had a large size one in stock, but said the smaller ones were not available untill October. Something to do with the suppliers not being able to keep up with the orders. I am hardly surprised as they look like very good pieces of kit. Both for home and camping!!
many thanks for all your answers, i did'nt realise they were so popular, after reading all the good replies i mus t get one, one more question, we have got leccie hook-up, they are not too powerful are they, like making the leccie go off, would hate to get int trouble!!!

the simple sum to do is watts divided by volts = amps someone said they use 400 watts so divided by 240 (mains) = 1.1 amps or there abouts. As most hook ups are 10 amps no problem.
We decided to buy the smaller Remoska as we thought that it would be sufficient for our needs. There are only two of us and we find it does everything we require...................just ask my wife Jean
thanks for all the info, been in touch with lakeland and they don't do the smaller model anymore, the bigger one will be to big for just the two of us, looked on e-bay, none there either, so will have to keep on looking
soon be easter hooray

There are only two of as ..... but wish we had had the large one ..... pies will sit side by side - instead of tilting ..... garlis bread etc - needn't be brpke in half ..... pies want fit so tight in the base .. I could go on and on lol
We didn't have a choice .. stuck with standard for now
Thhis is a propos of all the posts about the Remoska cooker -- I noticed that several folk mentioned the Cobb - can anyone give me any more info on that - I am begining to despair of getting a standard Remoska -tho I'd sell my soul for one right now! Any info would be most welcome. Happy camping ! sophar
