Myself and my daughter love our titanium helinox chairs.
DH finds them a bit too low.
Any suggestions for a camping chair prefeably with a high back and arms that isn't too heavy or bulky when folded up?

We have a couple of chair ones that we have taken by plane and car camped abroad. Fantastic but then I'm only small. Recently though I looked at Helinox website (think I was looking at trekking poles) and was surprised at the range of different chairs that they show now, eg higher backed. No experience of them though. Sue
I can vouch for the Helinox chairs, they are amazing and are more comfortable than they look.
Thanks for the Lafuma recommendation Paul.. Do they fold really flat? We'd ideally like a chair that would take very little space up in our hatchback.

I agree, very comfy. They fold up to about 6"diameter, but they are quite long, about 4ft folded. We have to fit them into the window bits above the boot cover on top of the main pack, or put them in to footwell behind the front seats.
Excellent chairs. Very strong and comfortable. We're on our second lot. The first lasted many years with a lot of use and the current model is even better.
Thank you all... will take a closer look at the details of all you have suggested - they all look great.

I am looking for a new chair so this is timely - I am finally admitting that the cheap chair I've had for about 10 years needs to go. The helinox looks good but I like one with arms and a cup holder! We are really short on space in the car so want something that folds as small as possible. Will check out the Coleman.
Hi, I went for the Helinox Sunset chair for DH in the end - this version is higher backed than our other standard helinox chairs. I hadn't realised they did a high back version (thanks sue.too for mentioning the wide range).
True, the chair has no arms, but it looks comfy enough, and will take up hardly any room in the car. We do find the helinox chairs handy for days out too as they pack up so small and light, so not just for camping. A worthwhile investment I think.

We've had Lafumas for some years now ... three different models of the lounger and also the small dining table ones for round the table.
They are very comfortable ... but bulky. You can get carry bags for them ... and they do have clip on mini trays for drinks etc, which clip onto the side.
