Hi all,
looking for some adviceon buying a used caravan rear window.i have seem a couple of windows which although not from the same make caravan are similar size. One is 5 to 10mm to small the other is same5 to 10mm too bug. Would this be a major problem.
Ok sorry its a 1983 sprite musketeer rear window. I have looked down the replacement route at cost of £300. But stumbled across some second hand windows with very similar measurements. Was trying to gauge on whether to take a punt on£30 for the used window.
Been watching this thread as I wondered the same thing!
Screamed out to the van to find a number, but there isn't one on my van:( maybe because it's Dutch or maybe because it's 30 years old...
However, I did find a very small pinhole and put a bit of sikflex in it - could this be the cause of the window misting up? We could hardly see the view on the last trip out, and the sunsets were stunning!!
I don't think I could afford to have one made.
I would have thought it would have to an exact match or the catches wouldn't fit or something.
As far as I know, caravan windows are manufactured in Holland.
Certainly when we have 7 of our motorhome (British made) windows smashed by drunken theives, I was instructed to note the numbers on the windows and the dealer then had them replaced by a Dutch Firm. Exact sizes and tints even although the van was more than 15 years old.
hi try caravn brakers south wales, you should be able to get your window.
------------- its easy enough to be pleasant when the world rolls along like a song.but a man is worth while if he can smile when every thing goes f------ wrong.
Thanks so much lion tried them and they got perfect match i just need to locate a window catch as mine has broken. Do you know if Iran just buy two brand new catches and try fit them or again are they window specific.

Sorry to ressurect this old thread, I'm still looking for a window! I wondered if you had the address or email for the Dutch firm you mentioned as I might have to deal with them directly!
