i made my own leveling ramps from 3/4 inch ply.PLY LAYERS are

__________LENGTH 13"  BY 3/4" BY 5" TOP LAYER

_________________________LENGTH 26" BY 3/4"BY 5"

________________________________________LENGTH 39" BY 3/4"BY 5"

_______________________________ _________________________LENGTH 43" BY 3/4" BY 5"

TOTAL WEIGHT 5 KGS

glue and screw full length to take the weight without separating the layers.

stays in the boot full time. 12 years old now.

Don't understand your measurements. 43 inch - that's about halfway up the caravan door.

the wood is only 3/4 inch thick,the 43 inch is the length of the bottom piece of wood.

I had problems using two plastic type ramps for my twin axle, so made up boards similar to Michael. I bought two decking boards about £5 each (already pre-treated), and cut them down to make 4 ramps, each one shorter than the other and angled at each end to allow for easy run / off. Most times I only need to use one or two of the boads, but always have up to four available and works perfectly. 

For my twin axle I have three lengths of decking 150x1200 mm and a plastic levelling ramp to run the wheels on to the decking.I use separate lengths of decking as not all sites are the same slope.
