Hi,

I am sure you will get a few different views on this but our intention is:

Cupboard doors closed......just in case they warp if left open and then wouldnt close

We don't have a fixed bed but intend to remove our cushions and store them under the bed in our spare room

I would remove bottles of fluid in case they freeze and burst

Wouldn't leave the blinds down as you might over extended the springs over time. We leave them up and close the curtains but we store ours in a storage yard outside so wouldnt leave the blinds down in case of a sudden sunny day as this can make the temp on the windows / skylight get too high

Other than that the general advice seems to be to leave the handbrake off to stop the pads sticking and also to fully drain it down. I have just had an attachment from Floe delivered today which will mean we can use our tyre compressor to blow out the pipes on the van, most people seem to find this gets an extra 2 pints of water out even after fully draining it down...........I will post the result to see if its worth it!

Oh and finally I intend to take off the battery and keep this in the garage at home, just need to get a trickle charger to keep it topped up!

. If you are taking the mattress off to store in doors over winter that lack of weight will probably cause the bed to lift anyway

Keep the blinds up over a long period as the strain  of being down can cause the mechanisms to become defective. Blinds down is usually to protect the fabrics from fading which is not as much of a problem over the winter months. Anyway, take all cushions/benches/matteress fabrics etc indoors over winter. Many will say it is not necessary, but I prefer to keep mine away from cold chills/air and damp possibilities

do not leave doors open they can warp

bed /flat cover with a sheet

any liquid left in including can of pop will freeze and burst.

blinds open or the springs will fail to operate or not be as good at recovery
