Star Camper 5 - 5 Man Tent
The StarCamper 5 is a great new family tent for 2007, with the added feature of a sewn in groundsheet. It's a large 5 man family tent, and comes with pre-bent poles for maximum head room and a breathable polyester inner. The design is a tent classic sought after by most families to give the most in bedroom space and living area.
It's the same great shape as the StarCamper 4 but comes with a removable offset bedroom divider which gives you one large bedroom and a smaller room great for children or to be used as a storage area. It is very easy to erect with short pole sleeves, simple clip system and colour coded poles. The living area has a large cowl over it, with ventilation below to keep down on condensation and allows the tent to breathe.
It also has a complete sewn in ground sheet and is great value for such a technical tent. The tent also has re-inforced pegging points and as well as full front verandah door as a D shaped door to the side.
It all goes, comfortably, into a easy fit bag for quick pack up and is very light for its size. It is a good size 5 man tent with a total length of 5.30 metres and width of 3.10 metres on the outer. The sleeping area is 220 cm by 310 cm.
The StarCamper 5 has a great Retro design with mocha swirl to give it a unique look with cream and mocha colours it's sure to stand out on any campsite.
The Technical side of the StarCamper 5
The Flysheet is treated to a Hydrostatic head of 3000mm due to the inclusion of the REVTEX3000 Fabric and total waterproofing is achieved by fully taped seams.
The groundsheet is fire retardent, durable and waterproof polyurethene. The poles are Outdoor Revolution fibreglass poles created for flexing, without breaking, against strong winds. All inners used are fire retardent, breathable and are created from mildew resistant polyester. All Outdoor Revolution Tents are outer first, so that you pitch the outer fabric of the tent and then hang the inners afterwards. As a British design company this is to prevent inner areas of the tent becoming wet upon pitching in rain.
All fabrics used on the tent are developed from a specialist tent fabrics, designed to be more waterproof, more durable and stronger than other 'non-technical' touring tents and to last season after season in the UK.
The StarCamper has large, full doors and gives a fuller view of your surroundings. The windows in the unit are large to give you even more light and the ring and pin system makes it easy to set up. All guyline runners are alloy so they dont break and make tensioning the tent even easier

REVTEX 300 is a fully waterproof and breathable fabric. All seams are taped throughout the fabric. A hydrostatic head of 3,000mm indicates that the amount of water the fabric is able to withstand prior to the water penetrating, ensuring it remains waterproof at all times.
