Corfe Castle Dorset Camping at a glance …
Corfe Castle Dorset Camping sits in a beautiful location on the Isle of Purbeck. In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Purbeck Hills are the gateway to many walking opportunities straight from site. A leisurely 15-20 minute walk, for instance, finds you at Corfe Castle, a stunning ruin from the English Civil War whose iconic silhouette can be seen from miles around.
We have 80 pitches. Something for everyone. We have a mix of grass and hard standing electric pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and tents all with electric hook-up. Please note advance motorhome bookings will be booked onto hard standings only.
Our facilities include toilets, showers and wash basins, a family shower room, separate disabled facilities, electric razor sockets, hairdryers, laundry/drying room, undercover washing up area and chemical disposal point
We have a small play area for our younger campers.
There is small on-site shop offering a very small range of local provisions including milk, eggs, bacon and sausages (subject to availability), camping accessories, maps, guide books, postcards, stamps and more.
The pretty Purbeck stone village of Corfe Castle lies in the shadow of the romantic castle ruins. Around its square is a cluster of tearooms, trinket shops and pubs.
Learn about the history of Swanage Railway at its museum in Corfe Village and then travel by stream train from the picturesque Corfe train station to the seaside town of Swanage with its Blue Flag Award winning beach.
On this well-known Jurassic Coast is Studland Bay, a glorious stretch of golden sand divided into four beaches: South Beach, Middle Beach, Knoll Beach and Shell Bay with views of the famous Old Harry Rocks. Kimmeridge Bay, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are also within easy reach.
Visit one of the few remaining Saxon walled towns in England; with 2000 years of history, the riverside, market town of Wareham is the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by in one of its many restaurants and cafes or if you are feeling a little more energetic then hire a boat, kayak, canoe or paddle board and explore the pretty, peaceful meandering Frome River.
