Description
Pitches: 100
Opening Dates this season: 01/03/2025 to 31/10/2025
Set in the heart of the glorious Peak District National Park, Haddon Grove Farm Caravan & Camping offers the perfect base from which to explore the UK`s first national park.
We are the only campsite to offer direct access to the stunning Lathkill Dale, which was formed 330 million years ago.
Whether you`re in a tent, caravan, campervan or motorhome we offer 140 generous pitches across five well-drained fields, offering ample room for you, your family and friends.
There are separate fields for family use - with play areas and rope swings - and others for group bookings, ensuring nobody gets disturbed on site.
We also offer 20 generous hardstanding pitches, each with electric hook-up.
For the 2025 season we will have two new shower blocks, offering excellent facilities, including toilets, showers, a family shower room and washing up facilities.
For evenings onsite, there are fire pits to hire along with wood to purchase.
We have an on-site shop selling a range of essential items
We`re very animal friendly and we welcome dogs, but we kindly request that they are kept on a lead whilst on site.
Whilst you enjoy your stay you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and observe life on a working farm.
For a large supermarket, there is an Aldi ten minutes away. The Bulls Head and The Lathkil Hotel are also within a five minute drive for food and drink.
Nearby Attractions
As the only campsite to have direct access to Lathkill Dale, the stunning limestone valley, you can enjoy walks along the river, taking in Lathkill Head Cave and the crystal clear waters that flow into deep pools known locally as The Blue Waters.
For a slightly longer ramble, Arbor Low Stone Circle and Gib Hill Barrow reward with prehistoric monuments and ancient burial mounds.
Combine your stroll around the grounds at Chatsworth House with a guided tours of the mansion`s ornate rooms packed with priceless antiques, or take in the Elizabethan Walled Gardens at Haddon Hall (both 20 minutes` drive) after you`ve admired the tapestry collection and medieval chapel.
For an insight into Peak District heritage, visit the Eyam Museum in the famed ‘plague village` to learn the story of the Bubonic Plague of 1346-52, or have a wander around the deserted remains of Magpie Mine (five minutes` drive), which was the last working lead mine in Derbyshire and closed in 1958.
Five minutes to Bakewell, within 20 minutes of Chatsworth House, Haddon House, Matlock and Buxton
