4 Reviews of the Bude 2
By: Ejon1971 Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2012 Rating:
Neat little tent. Lots of headroom, though the inner tent space is surprisingly snug. I have the Bude 4 as well which has lots of inner tent space. By comparison, and even allowing for the fact it is the 2 man version, the Bude 2 is significantly smaller, much more so than I ever would have imagined. Other than that, a brilliant tent. It's easy to put up and take down, very stable in windy and rainy conditions and looks great.

I got this for the added head height. To be honest I found it difficult to put up, the issue being threading the poles through the sleeves. Once up though, what a great tent it is. It also stands up to winds really well. The two windows are a great piece of design. The 'living area' is more of a seating area than a space to move around in. The two tone colour scheme is also a nice touch.

This high rise tent for 2 just got a whole lot better, with a range of suppliers on the internet offering the package. For £129.99, you get the tent, footprint groundsheet and carpet! camperite.Co.Uk offered the lowest price including delivery when I looked. Its a 2 person tent, so is not going to accommodate the whole family, but there is room for a weekend away. With a fully integrated (sewn-in) groundsheet, the footprint groundsheet sits underneath the tent, protecting it from stones and from mud and dirt too - much easier to clean a groundsheet than the bottom of the tent.
The tent appealed to me because nearly all 2 person tents are low in height, which often means they're less cumbersome and less difficult to put up. There is room to stand up in this one and it is a breeze to put up too! It is well made, as I've seen with other Kampa tents (we also own the Studland 8 and have had no problems with it). The front door is large and can be held open using the two poles provided in the package. The carry bag is even large enough to fit the tent, footprint groundsheet, pegs and the carpet.

Great little (operative word) weekend tent for two. Very easy to put up, 5 minutes, and appeared stable and well-made although not tested by the elements on this trip. It was freezing cold, literally, but with plenty of bedding we were snug. Excellent head height, but the so-called living area was tiny and not enough room to swing a Cat heater. We got round this by removing the bedroom pod and using a folding double airbed so that in the daytime we had a lot more floor space and used the folded airbed as a sofa. Wish we had the Bude 4 in all honesty as it's only £50 more but doubt we'll change now as we did really like it and still have our Khyam for longer trips. Thinking about adding a Coleman Canopy for warmer weather so we can cook outside but under shelter.

Manufacturer's Description
A compact tent that has all the features of our larger tents. Starting with the Sealed Groundsheet System (SGS) and the ‘feel the difference’ flysheet, the Bude 2 will keep you well protected from the elements. A daylight panel in the roof keeps the interior light and airy and large windows make it easy to see out whilst the SleepTite System aids a good night’s sleep. The tent is exceptionally quick to pitch and dismantle but extremely sturdy when erected; it uses our strong but lightweight Dynaflex poles that are colour coded for easy identification. The large front door can also be used as a canopy using the upright poles supplied. The ultimate compact tent?
